The 18th Night of Glory was sold out again and the numerous and expert audience saw many international fights.

As always, our newcomers to Austria had a chance to present themselves to a large audience.

Ultimately, 15 fights were on the fight card, including three women’s matches for the first time.

Laura CICHA – 57 Kg, Annette STAHL – 66 Kg and Alexandra PETRE + 66 Kg, all from the Octagon pro Gym in Vienna, were able to clearly defeat their respective opponents from Tyrol and Upper Austria.

The Austrian Karl PRODERUTTI from St. Lorenzen near Bruck an der Mur was able to win the K-1 World Championship belt in light middleweight – 71 Kg / 156 lbs for Austria by KO against the Czech Ivo CRHAK.

The World Champion belt was handed over by Rustam ATTAI, our continental WKF AUSTRALIA & OCEANIA director.

As one of 6 Continental Directors, Mr. Attai also WKF World Federation Vice President

He was “very special guest” in Vienna, Austria, and came to some talks with European WKF presidents and promoters for closer cooperation between Austria, Europe and Australia / Oceania.

Maybe an Australian will fight in Vienna soon?

Finally, Mr. Attai has confirmed a strong national team for the upcoming 2020 WKF World Championship in Cairo, Egypt.

The whole WKF team congratulates our new world champion!
