The WKF Approved 7x Title Belts on the card, plus other Divisional and Undercard Fights all finished on high note that impressed the Oceania and world presidents.

The Trophies and Belt Presentation was held at Sports Inn on Sunday 5th May, and was presented by the WKF Oceania President Mr. Rustam Ali Attai alongside with WKF CEO & President Mr. Fritz Exenberger.

The Promoter of the show Mr. Stanley Nandex under the Headhunter KO Promotions was impressed with the outcome despite other international fighters who could not make it for the fight due to VISA and OTHER personal reasons.

Despite the difficult circumstances faced at the last minute with 5 fighters couldn’t make it, only 2 International fighters were brave enough to take on PNG Team for the title fights. The title belts were awarded to Jeffery Daka, Lee Henry Garap and Rickson Yamo .

Jonathan Tuhu took the WKF MuayThai light-middle weight title up against the Malaysian most decorated fighter Chee Jian Kai. The fight went distance as the main event of the show. Jonathan was very strong with skills and was able to keep the fight under control until the final round of the fight winning the title.

During the presentation Lee ‘The Flash’ Garap who also won the WKF International welter weight title, Jeffrey Daka WKF Continental Middleweight Title. In the other international contest, Mr. Solomon Taimani of Team PNG who lost to his Pakistani-PNG opponent Mr. Karkar Ezetullah for the Intercontinental WKF Cruiserweight Title.

In the other undercard fights, more than five provinces took part represented by senior fighters. These fighters have now been qualified to secure themselves to fight for international contest in the next upcoming event this year. Nandex said he aims to bring back the sport and promote the fighters.

He also thanked the sponsors, NCDC, PNG Tourism Promotion Authority, Post Courier, PNG Sports Foundation, Department of Treasury, Hela Provincial Government and office of the Vice Minister for Sports Hon. Wesley Raminae for the support in hosting such high profile events in the country.

Also during the Presentation day at Sports Inn Hotel PNGKBF President Mr. Stanley Nandex had an opportunity to speak to all fighters who participated.

With their Provincial Presidents, about using the Kickboxing code to promote Community Leadership Development, People and Youths mental & health development and Charity activities to help victims in Rural communities where Government services lack.

But where sports can penetrate to be first support at site in times support and community assistance.
